Im Bewerb 1 on 1 – SAF Sword & Shield traten junge Sportler aus mehreren Bundesländern nach dem internationalen Regelwerk der Soft Armored
Auch 2026 ist der VgVK Wien wieder Teil von „Bewegt im Park“ – und heuer sogar mit zwei kostenlosen Soft-Sword Trainings pro Woche in Wien vertreten! Im Herderpark und im Andreaspark können Interessierte den Medieval Combat-Sport unkompliziert ausprobieren. Trainiert wird mit gepolsterten Schwertern, Schilden und Helmen.

What is Medieval Combat?
Medieval Combat is a modern, rules-based combat sport that blends the fascination of European medieval history with technique, fitness, and teamwork. VgVK Vienna specializes in the disciplines of Soft Armored Fighting and Buhurt.
Training
Since 2011, VgVK Vienna has been offering weekly Soft-Sword training sessions at three locations across Vienna – affordable, safe, and suitable for all fitness levels. A free trial session is available at any time. Equipment is provided; all you need are indoor sports shoes and comfortable workout clothes.
Projects
VgVK Vienna brings Medieval Combat to schools, parks, and international networks – from Bewegt im Park to Erasmus+ mobility projects. Our initiatives promote exercise, teamwork, and inclusion.
